OFFICIALS POWER SKATING

The Iceplex is offering local ice hockey officials an opportunity to hit the ice for some pre-season power skating sessions.  These four sessions are being ran by Chris Allman, who has an extensive background in on-ice officiating, league staffing administration, as well as on-ice instruction of the majority of the top U.S. born officials working high levels of hockey over the past ten years.  Any local officials wishing to take to the ice are able to sign up for any combination of the four on-ice sessions being offered, and this opportunity will be highly beneficial for those preparing for the upcoming season by enhancing their skating skills (and getting their legs back in game shape).

INSTRUCTOR INFO

Chris Allman had an on-ice career that spanned 20 years, and included working leagues such as the AHL, USHL, OHL, ECHL, UHL, and NAHL.  In 2008, he transitioned into an administrative role, overseeing AMHL/AJHL/MET officiating staff, the NAHL officiating staff, and ultimately became the Coordinator of the USAH Junior Officiating Development Program in 2017.   During his Admin time, he also instructed a large number of officiating development and pre-season camps, providing on-ice instruction to many of the current top U.S. born officials working high levels of hockey.

His power skating drills are so well designed that amateur, junior, and professional organizations across the U.S. have integrated them as part of their on-ice officiating development programming.
