Bill Gray's Regional Iceplex is proud to announce PLAYING IT FORWARD - a good will initiative where hockey players can donate used equipment which in turn will be provided to those in our community that may be in need of equipment. Those who play hockey know that it is not a cheap sport, and attempting to outfit players, especially those within a family full of young hockey players who are continually growing, can be a challenge.
The PLAYING FORWARD initiative was designed to help with this challenge, while providing an opportunity for those with extra gear the opportunity to get it out of their home, and to benefit them through a tax deduction. Each donar will be provided a charitable donation form (501c3) that can be used when filing their 2019 income taxes as a charitable donation.
During the donation period, simply bring your old equipment to the main desk of Bill Gray's Regional Iceplex, and you'll be provided a donation form.
All equipment will then be sorted, cleaned (to the best of our abilities) and then prepped for the pick-up day. On that day, all of the donated goods will be available for those who wish to pick out some equipment, on a first come, first serve basis.
